About Serena

I’m Serena — writer, story nurturer, and the creator of Your Way In.
I’m not a publisher or a big marketing voice. I’m an indie author who’s spent years walking the winding road from “The End” to “Now what?”

I built Your Way In for authors who want clarity without overwhelm. It is for quiet creatives, cautious dreamers, and writers who need gentle support, not pressure—real tools, not noise.

I’ve struggled, too. I wondered if I was doing it right. I’ve felt the fear that can follow success and the crash when a book doesn’t sell. I didn’t always have the support or the knowledge I have now, and I spent more time than I’d like to admit chasing the “right way” that never fit me.

The truth is, I’m still learning. But I’ve come to believe your comfort matters more than the rules. What makes you light up — or makes you cringe — is worth listening to. That’s why I listen to you.

I’m here to keep you from being overwhelmed, not add to it.
Yes, I’ll hand you a guide — but it’s built around you. Not a formula. Not a blueprint. A personal map of options that feel possible, not punishing.

No promises of bestseller status. Just a soft step forward.
Your story. Your timing. Your way in.
I’ll be the cheerleader at your side, reminding you: you’ve got this. One breath at a time.

A bit more about me

I’ve published five books — one flew, two followed, and the last two quietly sank. I don’t believe in failure if you learn from it. Those books taught me what no course ever could: how hard this can be, how much heart it takes, and how easy it is to burn out when you try to do everything at once.

Some of those stories soared, some stumbled. I used to feel unsure about sharing them, but they’re part of the path that led me here. They gave me readers, clarity, and a deep love for storytelling. Even the messy parts count — maybe especially those.

I’m Dutch and live in the Netherlands, so time zones can be dicks (let’s be honest), but we’ll make it work. I like helping people. I like seeing authors succeed in their way, at their pace. Whether your win is tiny or huge, I’ll be cheering for you.

If you’re curious, you can find my books on Linktree here. Just know they were written with heart — and they helped shape Your Way In more than any textbook ever could.
