A Few Things That Helped Me (And Might Help You)
I’m not big on giant lists or 50-tab resources. I have them — I just always forget to search them.
But there are a few things I’ve used over and over again in my writing life (next to Google… don’t go looking at my search history!). These are things that make it easier to get started, feel inspired, or clean things up just a little.
Maybe they’ll help you too.
Fantasy Name Generator
I go back to this whenever I’m stuck on names, cities, or need inspiration for flowers, worldbuilding, or who-knows-what-else. It’s perfect. It’s great. I absolutely love it.
Pinterest
Don’t dive too deep. Or take a day off for it. Or maybe set a timer (yes, you too, Serena).
It’s amazing what you can find on Pinterest — and it holds so much inspiration you could drown in it. Use it wisely!
It’s perfect for finding that little town you wanted to describe, or that werewolf vibe you’ve been chasing for ages.
Make a board, pin what you love, and maybe even share it later with your readers.
Or hoard them like I do.
Shorten Those Links
There’s nothing more annoying than LONG links on social media — especially when there are so many ways to shorten them.
Bitly, Books2Read, Linktree… all great tools to keep things tidy. Don’t overcrowd your post with a messy link.
Shorten it first, and make it clear what you’re sharing.
I might add more to this over time, but for now, these three?
They’ve stuck.
